We all have the headache of either saving our contacts all over again or backing up from our Service Providers at huge costs. Perhaps you have changed phone and you are finding it difficult to get your contacts. By default, Google tries to help backup your contacts on your Android phone, which you can export later on to your new Android phone or even to your iPhone. Here's an easy way to back up your phonebook contacts for free and have access to them everywhere you go.
Google provides the option to save contacts using your Gmail Account. This can be done when you set up your device with your Gmail Account.
Anytime you'd like to save a contact, choose the gmail account option to automatically back it up in your google contacts online and have access to it across all your device platforms.
Hope this helps you and saves you the headache!
How to retrieve Google Contacts
Sign in to your Google account on your new/other phone.
Go to contacts.google.com
You will see a list of your contacts there
Export to your device or simply go to your contacts to see the contacts automatically synced.
Voila! You're sorted out.
Tip
Make sure to back up your contacts up on Google to make retrieval on any device easy
