We are excited to introduce the Living Word Live Scripture Display, a free web-based tool designed to listen to spoken scripture references and quickly display Bible passages during preaching, teaching, Bible studies, and church events.

What Does the App Do?

The Living Word Live Scripture Display can:

✅ Listen to spoken Bible references through your device microphone

✅ Detect references such as:

  • Romans chapter 8 verse 28
  • Matthew 6 verses 9 to 13
  • John 3:16
  • Psalm 23

✅ Queue detected scriptures for display

✅ Present scripture references on-screen for church services

✅ Provide a presentation view for projectors and displays

✅ Work directly from your web browser without installing software

 

Getting Started

Step 1: Open the App

Visit:

Living Word Live Scripture Display

 

Step 2: Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

For the best speech recognition experience, we recommend:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge

Speech recognition may not work properly in some other browsers.

 

Step 3: Allow Microphone Access

When you first click Start Listening, your browser will ask for permission to use your microphone.

Select:

Allow

If you accidentally clicked “Block”, follow the instructions below.

 

How to Enable Microphone Access in Chrome

Windows/Mac

  1. Open the app in Chrome.
  2. Click the padlock icon beside the website address.
  3. Find Microphone.
  4. Change the setting to Allow.
  5. Refresh the page.

 

Android

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Choose Site Settings.
  5. Select Microphone.
  6. Ensure microphone access is enabled.
  7. Return to the app and refresh.

 

iPhone & iPad

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Scroll down and select Chrome.
  3. Enable Microphone.
  4. Return to the browser and refresh the page.

 

If Speech Recognition Does Not Work

Try the following:

Check Browser Permissions

Ensure microphone access is allowed for:

faithoasisapp.netlify.app

Check Device Microphone

Test your microphone with another application such as:

  • Voice Recorder
  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams

Refresh the App

Press:

Ctrl + F5 (Windows)

or

Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)  

to reload the latest version.

🎤 Speak scripture references clearly

🎤 Keep Chrome or Edge updated

🎤 Connect your display screen or projector before the service begins
